This stately, historic home (styled by Josefsson Ljung, photographed by Peter Pousard for Alvhem) has several notable features, including a mint-green fireplace and a stunning wallpaper mural in the bedroom. The turn-of-the-century flat has a lot of sass and some surprising personality quirks that give it a delightful character.
Spacious Living Room with a Mint Green Fireplace
The spacious living room is stunning, with two large historic windows on one side and a mint-green fireplace on the other. It opens into the hallway and bedroom.
A neutral beige fabric sofa blends in with the wall color. The walls are a neutral, warm beige, so the pop of coolness from the mint green fireplace definitely draws the eye. A white area rug and a glass coffee table add to the neutral color palette.

The TV blends in below the bookshelves next to the fireplace and a sheepskin lounge chair offers the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee by the fire.

Different textures and colors on the pillows, along with a blue art print on the wall, add a few colorful touches to the neutral sofa area.

Opposite the sofa, you can find a round dining table paired with oak dining chairs.

The neutral oak wood pairs wonderfully with the beige wall color and the white-soaped hardwood flooring.

Bedroom with a Wallpaper Mural and Solid French Doors
The bedroom is just off the living room, through solid French doors, and features a breathtaking wallpaper mural of a jungle scene. The remaining walls are a warm beige with ecru woodwork accents.

A large window on one wall lets in natural light, illuminating the mural to perfection. A ricepaper pendant adds a gentle glow to the space after the sun sets.

Large wall-to-wall closets span one wall, providing ample storage. The wardrobe is painted in the same color as the walls, making it blend in.

Kitchen with Crips White Tile and Grey Cabinets
The timeless style of this spacious kitchen is reminiscent of the past but lends a modern twist with a glass-top stove and oven and sleek, black appliances.

A white square tiled backsplash sits against a pastel grey wall and matching cabinets. The white marble countertops stretch around a good portion of the room, and there’s still space for a dining set with chairs against the exposed brick wall.

A vintage glass cabinet blends in with the wall color behind it, lending it a modern touch.

Black and White Bathroom with Herringbone Tile Floor
The bathroom features a white tile backsplash and white walls, a stark black vanity, and a recessed shelf with a built-in washer/dryer. The herringbone tile pattern on the floor ties the color palette together in white, black, and beige, running through the bathroom and into the shower.

A dramatic black vanity features a black marble countertop and a black sink.

The LED lighting around the mirror lends the bathroom a modern look.

The black washer has custom shelving built around it for storing detergent. The large board on top of the washer is perfect for folding laundry.

Long Hallway with Wallpaper and Grey Wainscoting
This long hallway ties it all together, making a great first impression. The pastel grey wainscoting and deep sage and grey wallpaper against the hardwood floor are elegant yet welcoming.

There’s plenty of room to stow shoes, hang coats, and put away wet umbrellas. A table and large mirror round out the look, giving you a most welcoming entrance into your home.
