This light-flooded attic apartment (photographed by Anders Bergstedt for Alvhem) features an open floor plan, making it the perfect home for a small family. From the living kitchen to the cozy blue bedroom, this space is bursting with potential. The graceful, sloped ceilings give each room a spacious feel and a character all its own.
Living Kitchen with Sloped Ceiling and Dining Area
The living kitchen combines the kitchen, dining room, and living room into one large space. It all flows together so effortlessly for a stylish, uncluttered look. The peninsula kitchen island also functions as a divider between the kitchen and the living area. The TV is attached to the island, taking away the need for a TV cabinet in the sofa area.

The kitchen has a surprising amount of counter space fitted beneath the sloped ceiling. The white granite counters are set against a white tile backsplash. Charcoal cabinets contrast nicely with the white side cabinets and pantry. The upper cabinets are fitted beneath the ceiling for a seamless look in the space.

The space beneath the sloped ceiling is optimally suited for integrating the oven. This way, no cabinet space is sacrificed, and the oven becomes easily reachable while cooking.

The dining area is set to the side under two large windows that flood the space with natural light. The long table paired with the black chairs adds a lovely contrast to the space.

The living area is large enough to accommodate a sectional sofa, a coffee table, and cabinets for additional storage. A large window and a glass door leading outside are situated at the end of the room. The white walls and wood plank floors give the room a serene feel.

Dark Blue Bedroom decorated with White Textiles
The sharply sloped ceiling gives the bedroom a unique, interesting shape. Its deep blue walls are reminiscent of a summer storm and exude a peaceful calm. The white textiles on the bed and the rice-paper pendant light brighten the space’s color palette.

While the room is small, it packs a lot of potential. There are two large closets going wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling for ample storage space.

Sage-Green Kid’s Room with a large Skylight
This small space is definitely kid-friendly and works well as a child’s room. The sloped ceiling and skylight give it a charming appeal that would also work well as a studio or home office. The neutral, sage-green walls with stark white wood accents create a tranquil environment.

White Bathroom with Grey Floor Tiles and Chrome Fixtures
The light color palette in the bathroom makes it feel spacious. The white wall tiles, paired with the soft grey floor tiling and white sloped ceilings, create a perfect white canvas for a contrasting black vanity and chrome fixtures.

A long counter with cabinets covers one wall and ends with a washer/dryer duo. The toilet sits at the end of the room, while a small vanity with a sink resides next to the large shower on the opposite wall.

Hallway with White Walls and Charcoal Accents
Sharp charcoal accents against crisp white walls and white-soaped hardwood flooring give the hallway a vibe that is no-nonsense yet approachable. It connects the bedrooms and the living kitchen, bringing it all together beautifully.
